Summer Is Coming To An End But Plumbing Problems Aren’t!

Summer is coming to an end but there’s still always going to be plumbing issues andPlumb Tech LLC is here to sort them out before it’s too late! Not only that but there are a few tips that you can follow that will not only help you to avoid big problems as the sun goes down, but also help you to save money and do your bit for the environment at the same time!

Get Your Sewer Lines Checked for Roots

We’ve enjoyed months of summer sun and fresh rain all of which gets the trees growing again and sprouting new roots that can start to invade sewer lines. These can cause blockages in the future and could be a problem just waiting to happen. We can check out your lines for you and make sure that they are all clear and if they’re not, we can clear them before they become a major problem!

Check Your Faucets and Hoses

Check that all your faucets are running clearly, not leaking and water is flowing without problem. This can avoid problems further down the line when you least want them! Check hoses too! If you’re not planning on watering the lawn during the winter the last thing you want is a hose that is slowly dripping throughout the entire season without anyone knowing!

Clear Drains

Make sure that as fall approaches you are not getting leaves blocking up drains and guttering that can knock onto big plumbing problems further down the line. We will happily help you out but it’s better you avoid the problem in the first place!

Check for Leaks

No matter what season it is, you should always check over your home to make sure that there are no wet patches, water marks or stains appearing. Another obvious sign of a leak is if you’re water bill is abnormally high, or worse if your meter kept ticking even when you were on vacation. These can be the signs of potential leaks that can cause real problems, from mold issues to collapsing ceilings!

Treat Your Kitchen Disposal with More Respect

It never ceases to amaze us how many people get stuck with a blocked kitchen disposal after enjoying plenty of Summer BBQ’s! Putting down thick, oily substances such as potato mixes or pure grease is not a good idea. And regardless of what you’re putting down there, make sure you always run cold water for a good 15 seconds both before and after you have put everything down there in order to make sure that it stays running clear.

The Season for Minor Plumbing Repairs & A Plumbing Checkup is Now!
